The Stockton-Delta ARC wants to undertake a new effort at getting more of our new licensees to become active operators. Too many of them get their licenses but are never heard from again. We believe the fix is a structured hands-on Elmering process. The attachment describes how the idea came about and how it might proceed.
Everyone receiving this is encouraged to read the attachment and let us know if you have further interest. The idea should work well and get the job done if there are sufficient volunteers willing to help.
Note especially that this isn’t just for old timers with many years of experience. As the attachment explains, almost anyone who is at least beyond the HT and repeater level can be an effective Elmer. (Please see attachment)
