SM Dan Pruitt, AE6SX- ASMs K6YK and N2NS, ACC WARRL6DPD, SEC KF6FIR, OOC N1VM,
STM K6RAU, PIC vacant, TC W6TE.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with plenty of food and
family. Is everyone ready for Christmas?

A couple of operating opportunities. Straight Key night on New Years
Eve. I also worked the WW1USA station for the WWI Museum in Kansas
City. Good site ww1usa.org, and a QSL Certificate is available.
Remember the membership for ARRL increases after the First of January
2016. Now is a great time to consider “Life Membership”. The
amount of money you will save is significant. If you feel the Life
Membership is not for you then at least renew for 3 years. This will
save you $30 (almost an annual membership at current prices) and will
be added to what ever you now are committed.

Get your letters in for the Amateur Radio Parity Act. If it was a
while ago, do a new one for each house. Tell your friends, ARRL member
or not, go to “ARRL.ORG/amateur-radio-parity-act” and you will be
able to complete it on line.

Merry Christmas! Oh yes, send me and/or the ACC Charles, W6DPD
(w6dpd@arrl.org), your Club contact information and Officers for 2016.
Go the ARRL web page and update your club information also. This is very
important so your records are up to date.

73;
Dan Pruitt, AE6SX

BEAR VALLEY SPRINGS++ Check out the message board on this site. Many
useful download-able files. bvsemergencyradioteam.shutterfly.com/

CENTRAL VALLEY RADIO CLUB ++ Bill K6WGJ, help sponsor and made his
“Red monkey Communications” facility available for an over 30
person Tech Class over 4 weeks of Saturday Classes. A brainstorm of
Greg, KJ6OUI, he collected the instructors and VE team to extract a
nearly 100% pass result. www.centralvalleyradioclub.org

CLOVIS ARP ++ Marty K6KTP was the fox for the 21 Nov T-Hunt. Skywarn
recognition day Dec 4 1600 hrs, Rob AE6GE provided an on line sign up
sheet and Ed KA6PNL from Kings County headed for surgery.
Representation from Tulare, Kings, Fresno Counties kept the station up
and running for the event. CARP announced The Ham Radio
‘INTRO-NET’ Are you a relatively newly licensed HAM with
questions about what to do next now that you have your license? The
‘INTRO-NET’ is the perfect place to go for the answers to those
questions or any other question you may have regarding operating your
new HAM radio. The ‘INTRO-NET’ will have three HAMS standing by to
respond to your questions on the RACES repeater 147.15+ PL 141.3 at 1930
hrs. www.k6arp.org/

FRESNO ARC++ Dave, W6TE, will be our January speaker at the FARC
meeting. He is looking forward to informing all Hams concerning an
exciting project from AMSAT Phase IV Geosynchronous Satellite mission,
on a very fast track with a launch at the end of 2016 or early 2017.
Lew, KI6YWX and Glen, N6HEW, have assembled a project for the EmComm
(ARES/RACES/SATERN etc) Group to build an interface for digital
communications. The kit is available then some added features are
incorporated. Details are in Skip on the website. Christmas party
Italiano is planned for December. www.w6to.com

LODI ARC ++ QST for January and saw that the Lodi Amateur Radio Club
has two August UHF contest winners. Tom; WA6OSX was the Pacific
Division single operator low power winner. Tom also placed 2nd in the

LOS BANOS ARC ++ Mike, AD6AA states, “The Christmas Party isn’t
all fun and games, this is traditionally when we hold our elections.
Nominations are kept open until the election. At the last meeting, I
announced that 2016 will be my last year as president unless someone
else wishes to run for president in December. I first became president
in or around 1997. On the same subject, our Sec/Treas, Dorothy W6DME,
recently told me she will not be running for the position this year.
www.aa6lb.org

SIERRA ARC ++ Just how well does your HT live up to its
specifications?? The December meeting will be a HT Spectrum Clinic.
Why Bob’s New Antenna had a bad mismatch on 26 December 2014 is the
object of the photo in the “Airwaves”. It was obvious considering
all the critters dangling precariously from an ornately decorated
Sleigh that emptied its red, white and white bearded pilot onto the
beam as it snagged the unlighted center mast! Very good article, “A
tale of two batteries” from Bill WA6QYR. www.qsl.net/wa6ybn/

SEQUOIA ARG ++ 2016 Officers directors. Pete, W6SV, remains
President; Donna, WA6FUN, remains Vice President, Christine, KK6AZQ,
joins the board as our new Secretary; Mike, KA6IYS, stays on as
Treasurer and Web Master; and last, but not least; Al, N6ALP, will be
taking over the newsletter again starting with the January 2016 Issue.

STOCKTON DELTA ARC ++ The club emblem was right in the middle of all
the sponsors on the Run Against Hunger commemorative long sleeve shirt?
That’s pretty cool!, says Chuck, W6COB. Make it to the December
Meeting / Christmas Party to see me pass the gavel to Dan KI6FTT who
takes over as President on 1 January. November meeting had the
election of officers for 2016. Dan KI6FTT was elected President for
2016. Guy W6MSU was elected Vice President after a “run-off”
tiebreaker vote with Charlie WB6NVB. Dave N6LHL was unopposed and
re-elected Treasurer. Eric W6INP retained his seat as Secretary for
another term. Our December Meeting will be the Christmas Dinner
celebrated on December 10. www.w6sf.org

The following Amateurs became Silent Keys since the last report:
Eleanor WA6JGR,
Steve K6SNL, and John, KK6DIG in June. They will be missed.
