Dan Pruitt, AE6SX- ASMs K6YK and N2NS, ACC W6DPD, SEC KF6FIR, OOC N1VM,

STM K6RAU, PIC vacant, TC W6TE.

For those who have experienced computer problems, I sympathize.  I havehad my share this month, culminating in a brand new one, a gift from mywife!  She stated she was tired of mew spending more time fighting with my computer than her.  Oh well I guess that is a good thing, hi hi.

To business.  It seems to be busy out there with Dxpeditions, weather

and anticipation of some looming hard times in the disaster community.

I hear good things in our section.  There does appear to be some

disconnect.  Let me know what is important to you and we can discuss it

here.  Send me your Newsletters.  Highlights, projects in the works.

Don’t forget about the National Parks on the Air.  Let me know your

plans.  I heard of a collective effort to activate one in the center of

our section and we could have a blast with that.

Public Service Communications are continuing however don’t forget this

is practice for good communicators.  Don’t just make it a rag chew in

front of a served agency.  Designate PIOs for your events to explain

and answer any questions.  Work with other Amateur radio specialty

groups.  We have National MOUs with most agencies, learn their wants

and adhere to them.

Keep your letters up to date for the Amateur Radio Parity Act.  Use the

link, it works:

Mind your etiquette on the air.  Don’t antagonize.  Nothing like

listening to a shouting match that no one wins.

73;

Dan Pruitt, AE6SX
